In honor of World AIDS Day, Divas, MPH is hosting “I Promise…My Commitment to Stop AIDS” Happy Hour event at Jin Lounge on December 1, 2009 from 6-9 pm. 

Celebrating its 21^st year, World AIDS Day is designed to encourage public support and programming to prevent the spread of HIV infection, provide awareness and education about HIV/AIDS, and demonstrate compassion for those infected or affected by HIV.  This year’s theme is “Stop AIDS.  Keep the Promise - Universal Access and Human Rights”.  

Please join Divas, MPH in our effort to increase awareness of the impact of HIV/AIDS in our community.  The happy hour event is being held to encourage conversation about the issues surrounding HIV/AIDS in the DC Metropolitan area. The event will feature World AIDS Day inspired cupcakes from Georgetown Cupcake in support of Pediatric AIDS/HIV Care organization.

Most importantly, this happy hour event will be a fundraiser.  Proceeds will be donated to an HIV/AIDS organization in the DC Metropolitan area.  There is no admission cost; however, donations will be greatly appreciated!  Divas, MPH hopes to see everyone at Jin Lounge on December 1, 2009 dressed in your RED attire!!!
