Giving our Sis the Spotlight She Deserves
As soon as I caught the news that there might be a woman of color on the upcoming season of the Real Housewives of DC, then I decided that nobody would give Stacie Turner the shine she deserves like I would. This post will be updated as information comes across the wire.
In late January, my blog came to the attention of a publicist representing Stacie Turner, of the yet to be seen Real Housewives of D.C. I am very happy to be able to highlight the work that Stacie Turner is doing outside of her "celebrity."
It appears as thou, doing good deeds are a part of her everyday life. As an adoptee myself, I'm very inspired to see Stacie Turner garnering attention in the form of helping young ladies in need.

Stacie Turner, the visionary and leader of Extra-Ordinary Life, is a
product of the DC foster care system. Adopted at an early age, Turner was raised to believe that
she could do anything. A graduate of Howard University and Harvard Business School, Turner
worked at Procter & Gamble and BET Networks prior to becoming a successful businesswoman
and real estate entrepreneur. “It’s important for these young girls to experience events that
exemplify the ideals of hard work, determination, discipline and belief in self – key qualities that I
believe are necessary to succeed in life. I want the girls to feel the energy of limitless potential;
to inspire them to believe that they, too, have limitless potential.”
During the month of April,

One of the young ladies was born outside the United States – whereas the others have never traveled outside the country. XOL wants the girls to see and feel the energy of this historic event—the first World Cup to be held on the continent of Africa. However, the games are the backdrop to a broader in-country learning experience that includes a community service project and cultural, educational, and social activities. An event of this magnitude will surely not be forgotten by the participants or their families!
On April 24, 2010, Stacie Turner's Extra-Ordinary Life participated in the Federal City Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta's 2010 Regional Day of Service event at Howard University. The event focused on preparing the young ladies for College applications and admission.

12/22/09DC's Black Housewife, Stacie Turner was spotted with other 'cast members' at the vote for DC's Gay Marriage Bill. The Washington Post had this to say:
Bravo's cameras followed five likely cast members (Lynda Erkiletian, Mary Amons, Stacie Turner, Catherine Ommanney, Paul Wharton) to the D.C. Council meeting on same-sex marriage Tuesday (spoiler alert, reality fans: The bill passed), and then to a party at Long View Gallery celebrating the legislation. Missing in action: Michaele Salahi, whose future with the show is unclear. The production crew also was spotted filming the bill's gay sponsor, council member David Catania.
The Washington Post posted this picture earlier this year, but clearly absent is Stacie Turner. What's up with that?

Cathy "Ashely" Ommanney use to work as a "Hostess" in a up market strip bar in London. She has left a trail of debts after ripping off her old friends in her "climb" in Society.
ReplyDeleteCathy ( Ashley) Ommanney also has a Uk criminal record for theft and drugs. The US media should take some time to find out more about her "past" .
ReplyDeletewhat is the fine in the US for failing to declare a criminal record ?
ReplyDeleteAnd is she still a Cocaine freak ?
Anonymous, thank you for your comments, and I'm so happy that you found the blog. However, I believe you missed the point a tad bit. I'm not here to smear any members of RHODC, this post particularly, and the follow up that I did, was intended to call attention to Stacie Turner. That and that alone.
ReplyDeleteI imagined that Mrs. Turner would not receive the same media highlights that her counterparts would receive. So, I decided that I would bring to light, information on Stacie Turner, an educated, married, Black professional.
Again, thanks for checking out the blog and even taking time to make comments. Please check back for other information on Stacie Turner of the Real Housewives of DC.
OG
Well thanks for your time and good luck with a lovely internet site.
ReplyDeleteWhat is this blog about? The Real Socialites of DC would never reduce themselves to such ridiculousness.
ReplyDeleteSO , What caused her Husband to leave her ? Maybe Charles Ommanney found out the truth about her Past. Its all lies. And the stupid people around her have been shown for what they are !! Idiots all talking crap.
ReplyDeleteCathy Has boasted that during March and April 2010 she has had a sexual relationship with another married man.
Just what her Daughters must think? having a Mother who is a Thief, drug taker. Ex Hostess ! And now with 2 failed marriages. Well not failed for her. She has far higher plans than Charles.
She has mentioned that she also plans a publicity stunt when Harry is in the US.
So , How will a divorce affect her work permit ? Combined with the fact she failed to notify the Authorities of her UK criminal records.
Looks like she should be kicked out from the US
"Buy Viagra" says, "She looks like a real hard working Girl"
ReplyDeleteYour 100% right "working girl" sums her up perfect. Ex hooker !!!
By any chance is Mrs. Turner a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. ? She really is a beautiful woman. It's nice to see that bravo chose an intelligent and wealthy woman of color this time.
ReplyDelete:o
ReplyDeleteI am happy to see a positive african american woman on the show. Stacie is a classy woman but she has to speak up when negative opportunities presents itself. Other than that, I love her. I hope to see more of her family and her african american friends on the show. After all DC is the chocolate city.
