The essayed, oftentime stream of consciousness musings of a self proclaimed DC Soulcialite with bicoastal and international aspirations.
Personal commentaries on events taking place in the states and around the world. Be prepared for a mix of pop and politics. Meant to make you laugh, cry and question. But most of all, for me to purge.
Only a tad bit of celebrity desired.
Music Monday: Michael Jackson "This is It" music video
Spike Lee directed this unique and fan-filled video capturing MJ's talent and adoration that the world expressed for him. The video starts in Jackson's home-town of Gary, Indiana and highlights the town's spirit, including residents who celebrated Michael's life after the entertainers death. Spike Lee's 40 Acres and a Mule skillfully interspersed past performance video with pictures of Michael with animals, and entertaining fans only the way he could. The video will be featurd on the upcoming This is It DVD release, scheduled for January 26, 2010.
Shout out to Agent Smith Files who brought this vid to my attention.
Director Spike Lee was a friend of Michael Jackson's having directed him in the two music videos for Jackson's controversial song from 1996, "They Don't Care About Us." After Michael died, Spike Leeorganized a public birthday party for Jackson which was held in Brooklyn's Prospect Park on August 29, 2009.

I'm a NERD that likes handbags, music, cars, and pop culture. I enjoy sports, and dressy occasions for going out. What else would a Soulcialite do??? Just for the cute pics.
I'm a pop culture and entertainment writer, business 'broker' entrepreneur, visionary, romantic, nerdy, self-conscious Superstar. I'm available for comment; theoriginalnajeema@gmail.com [Don'tbe fooled by imitators. I am the original, all others are poorly cloned replicas.]
