My heart goes out to Jennifer Hudson, whose her mother and brother were murdered in their Chicago home on Friday. Jennifer's nephew is also missing and may have been in the home. An Amber alert has been issued. A suspect is also in custody, but police are concerned that the young boy was not with him. William Balfour, young Julian King's father, is the suspect in custody.
Chicago was recently confirmed as America's murder capital. Neighbors confirmed hearing gunshots but gunshots in Chicago's South side are everyday occurrences.
Jennifer Hudson, Academy Award winning actress for Dreamgirls, is currently starring in The Secret Life of Bees, and with a hit single, Spotlight, on the charts.
J Hud recently announced her engagement to a former VH1 reality show contestant. She was in Florida when she learned of the news and was preparing for promotional work in Japan.
